A veneer is a layer of tooth coloured material that is permanently adhered to a natural tooth. They can be made from either porcelain or composite resin. Veneers can significantly improve the appearance of your smile by:

Over a lifetime tooth can wear down, decay or fracture to a point where a simple filling cannot be used.

In this case a Crown or Onlay may be the best restoration option. Crown’s or Onlay’s can be made out of a variety of material such as gold, porcelain fused to gold of high strength porcelain.

When made out of porcelain this produces a natural look which is often hard to differentiate from the original tooth.

Bridges are a restorative technique used to ‘Bridge’ a gap between two teeth.

In certain cases, if there are the two adjacent teeth also requiring Crowns. Two Crowns may be fused together with a tooth shape Bridge between the two crowns which can fill the gap.

Implants may be used to replace missing teeth.

Implant fixtures are surgically inserted into the suitable jawbone and then a replacement tooth or teeth depending on the restorative needs can be anchored onto this fixture.

The result is a replacement tooth or teeth which do not require removal like dentures and offer a lot more stability and comfort than conventional dentures.
